Criteria & Entry Ages
To ensure our students can thrive in our environment and provide proper placement of care, Maplewood Academy will provide assessments test to gauge the children level of understanding.
Our basic requirements for admission include the following:
- The child must be of the required age.
- The child will go through an entrance assessment.
- Parents must, on behalf of the child, receive and acknowledge a letter of registration for successful candidates.
Assessment Test
Preschool Assessments
In order to apply for preschool applications, our students are asked to complete a basic English and Math assessment.
Primary School Assessments
For applicants aged between Year 1 and Year 9, students must complete three assessments: English, Math, and Science.
Lower Secondary Assessments
For applicants in Year 10 or Year 11, assessments come down to the school’s discretion but cover topics such as English, Math, Science, and Humanities (for example, accounting, economies, etc.).
Age of Entry
We accept applications for new students throughout the year; however, the age of entry will influence which year your child is entered into and the assessments they have to complete.
